Greg, no switcher has not been updated since the review.
The last time switcher was updated was October 28 2007.

I still like switcher the best, it works well albeit a bit less responsive compared to some of the others, live thumbnails wins out.

Hey very helpful review. I'd just like to point out that it seems like Switcher has been updated since your review, the windows here seem fairly well placed, much like your My Expose screenshot.
I love the customisation in Switcher, I didn't like the blue overlay on the selected window so I've changed it to show unselected as grey and selected as normal. I don't know many programs that allow you such a level of control.

It depends which software you're using to display the separate desktop wallpapers. TopDesk has to draw the desktop wallpaper itself (since the whole screen is 3D), while the other apps overlay a transparent window on the desktop, which means that TopDesk doesn't display the wallpaper correctly in some situations when it's set by apps like Ultramon. Any window displayed on that monitor will appear correctly.

I see... that would explain why there is a black window covering the left screen in the first two screen shots. But TopDesk still seems to distort the background image on my left screen. (Even when not using Windows Media Center.) See the third screen shot. The left screen has an offset of (-1024, -800)

Hi Kenneth,

I'm from Otaku Software, the developers of TopDesk. I'd just like to point out that the "multi-monitor problem" you're seeing is actually due to TopDesk not being able to display the Windows Media Center window (it's only possible to take a snapshot of this window using the Aero interface).
